We're off to another gig here. We got a guy with a non-working ice maker. It seems like possibly the water lines frozen or there's a filter issue or it's a bad water valve. It's got one of those water valves that are inside the refrigerator wall on the inside of the cabinet. So we'll try to get some of that on film for you, but we'll show you how GuildUSA makes it all easier. Like this guy called, left his symptoms on the call with the AI,
and then everything's in the app. So we're just pressing buttons in the app. It's taken us there, gave us the possible diagnostics on the way. Anything to add there, Jacob? No, it's one of the bigger double drawer kitchen aids. You know, there's some shenanigans with the valve not being all the way back to machine compartments. So usually there's a lot of plastic to get out of the way in there. So it might just take a little longer than usual. You kind of want the easy ones, but sometimes you gotta do the hard ones. It's not always easy. There you have it guys. The struggle.
The struggle is real. Make it easier with GuildUSA. Get out and get it. You got the price in front of me. Okay. How much is that guys maker? $2.32.56. Hey, Benny, this is Jacob with the Planche Paramerican.
There you go. Yeah, so we just got done here at the fridge. So it seems like the valve is working. I can manually bypass and kind of eliminate the ice maker from the equation just to put water into the ice chute, if that makes sense. Okay. The valve itself, the new one is working, and it's not working.
And it seems like the ice maker isn't calling for water from the valve. So it may have been a two-part issue, but the water dispenser works, the ice part of the valve works.
So it might need a new ice maker, and it's a shame as the motor and everything is turning, but it's just not calling for water.
And there's a couple different reasons that can cause that internally.
So could it be the board like that one guy said? No, no. On this one, the ice maker has a separate board and it's inside of that module.
So that's the one that does the thinking specifically for the ice maker valve.
So the main board for the machine is fine, but it all comes in one unit in the ice maker. Okay.
Yeah, and then, you know, the other part of the bad news, the ice maker is $232 from Whirlpool.
Okay, so $236.32. $232 for the part, yes, sir.
Yeah, so it'll be $125 for the finish on the labor, and then it'll be the cost of the part. Yeah.
Okay. Okay, so that big Whirlpool fridge, there was a little leak in the water valve.
How did you figure out that it was definitely the ice maker?
Because there wasn't a normal ice maker test on that where we could jump it from the ice maker.
So what was that that you did there? That little trick there?
So the valve that's hidden behind all the plastics in the fridge, they do put some proprietary connectors on them.
So it's impossible to accidentally put the ice maker connector on the water dispenser connector.
But if you're careful enough, you can jump them around.
Sometimes you have to do some disassembly with some of the plastics.
But if you're able to put the water dispenser connector onto the ice maker valve,
whenever you push the water dispenser paddle, it's going to call for power.
And that power just happens to be routed to the ice maker valve.
So then you can see if that actual valve is working mechanically.
So of course after doing that, push the water dispenser and the water comes flown into the ice maker.
So the valve's good, so it's going to be the ice maker not calling for it.
And there's no control board that directly controls that valve.
There's another special set of logic inside the ice maker.
So if the ice maker is bad, then it's not going to call for water.
It's not the main control board's fault.
So we're ordering the client, we have the approval.
We put the part, we looked up the part through the part look up in the app.
And it gave us the price right away.
We were able to communicate that with the client.
And then we add it to the estimate right there within the application that creates the estimate.
It sends the estimates to the client.
The client approves and rebooked themselves based on the ETA of the automatic parlor.
